Understanding Balanoposthitis
Balanoposthitis is inflammation of both the head of the penis and the foreskin together — a step beyond balanitis. It causes marked redness, swelling and discomfort, and can make the foreskin hard to move.
Treatment starts with hygiene, an antifungal or antibiotic, and control of any underlying diabetes. Repeated attacks, or a foreskin left scarred and tight, are treated with circumcision.
Common Symptoms
If you have one or more of these, it's worth speaking to a specialist.
Our specialists use the latest minimally invasive techniques wherever possible — smaller incisions, less bleeding and a faster return to daily life.
Every patient has a full pre-surgical evaluation to decide the most effective approach, and a multidisciplinary team supports your health before, during and after the procedure.
