Understanding Squint Surgery
A squint (strabismus) is when the eyes are not aligned — one may turn in, out, up or down. In children it can affect the development of vision (lazy eye); in adults it can cause double vision and affect confidence.
Surgery adjusts the tension of the muscles that move the eye to bring them into alignment. It is a day-care procedure under general anaesthesia (or local in adults), often combined with glasses and vision therapy.
Common Symptoms
If you have one or more of these, it's worth speaking to a specialist.
Our specialists use the latest minimally invasive techniques wherever possible — smaller incisions, less bleeding and a faster return to daily life.
Every patient has a full pre-surgical evaluation to decide the most effective approach, and a multidisciplinary team supports your health before, during and after the procedure.
