Understanding ICL Surgery

ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) surgery places a soft, biocompatible lens inside the eye, behind the iris and in front of the natural lens, to correct high degrees of short-sight, long-sight and astigmatism.

It is the option of choice when the prescription is too high, or the cornea too thin, for laser vision correction. It does not remove any corneal tissue and is reversible — the lens can be exchanged or removed.
