Understanding FEMTO Lasik Surgery

Femto-LASIK (bladeless LASIK) uses a femtosecond laser instead of a blade to create the corneal flap, before an excimer laser reshapes the cornea underneath. It is the most widely used form of modern LASIK.

The all-laser approach gives a very precise, thin, uniform flap, which improves safety and the predictability of the result compared with older blade-based LASIK.
