Understanding Turbinate Reduction
The turbinates are ridges inside the nose that warm and humidify air. When they are chronically swollen — from allergy, irritants or a deviated septum — they block airflow even when medication is used.
Turbinate reduction shrinks the swollen tissue using radiofrequency, coblation or a small trimming procedure, usually through the nostrils with no external cuts. It is often combined with septoplasty.
Common Symptoms
If you have one or more of these, it's worth speaking to a specialist.
Our specialists use the latest minimally invasive techniques wherever possible — smaller incisions, less bleeding and a faster return to daily life.
Every patient has a full pre-surgical evaluation to decide the most effective approach, and a multidisciplinary team supports your health before, during and after the procedure.
