Understanding Thyroidectomy
Thyroidectomy is removal of part or all of the thyroid gland in the neck. It is done for a large goitre causing pressure symptoms, an overactive nodule, suspicious or cancerous nodules, or thyroid cancer.
The procedure is done through a small, well-hidden neck-crease incision, with careful protection of the voice nerves and the parathyroid glands. Ayushman Surgicare coordinates the ultrasound, biopsy, surgeon, hospital and insurance.
Common Symptoms
If you have one or more of these, it's worth speaking to a specialist.
Our specialists use the latest minimally invasive techniques wherever possible — smaller incisions, less bleeding and a faster return to daily life.
Every patient has a full pre-surgical evaluation to decide the most effective approach, and a multidisciplinary team supports your health before, during and after the procedure.
