Understanding Adenoidectomy
The adenoids are a patch of tissue high behind the nose. When enlarged — common in children — they block the nose and the Eustachian tubes, causing mouth-breathing, snoring and repeated ear and sinus infections.
Adenoidectomy removes them through the mouth with no external cuts, as a short day-care procedure. It is often combined with grommet insertion or tonsillectomy so the child needs only one anaesthetic.
Common Symptoms
If you have one or more of these, it's worth speaking to a specialist.
Our specialists use the latest minimally invasive techniques wherever possible — smaller incisions, less bleeding and a faster return to daily life.
Every patient has a full pre-surgical evaluation to decide the most effective approach, and a multidisciplinary team supports your health before, during and after the procedure.
